NO - REGRETS Kick-off Meeting

NO - REGRETS officially started! During three days (25 - 27 November), the kick-off meeting marked the official launching of the project, taking place at NIOZ - Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (Texel), where the project is being coordinated.

The encounter gathered the diverse groups and institutions from the consortium, consisting of seven Dutch universities and five research centres, including government agencies, NGOs, and industry leaders in fisheries and the offshore wind energy sector.

Setting the bases for the project start

During the first day, the project -together with with the work packages - was introduced, as well as the project structure and the team of PhD candidates and Postdocs that will join the research team. The programme also featured break-out sessions allowing the group to discuss their initial plans and the day ended with and ice-breaker activity including welcome drinks.

Interacting with stakeholders & Partners

The second and third days of the kick-off allowed the team to interact with stakeholders as well as the advisory board. The sessions included presentations and a diverse set of interactions and feedback that nurtured the team's visions and objectives for the project. The programme included a tour around the facilities of NIOZ and wrapped up with the project dinner.
